Summer 2010
By now, just about all of our friends have found their way back to their “other” life somewhere on the mainland.
Kathy & I have settled into our home on Wellesley Island, New York. We are in the Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River on the Canadian Border enjoying clear days and cool, comfortable nights after a warm, dry, spring. As a result of the lack of winter snow and spring rains our water level is down about 18 inches. As a Port Captain for this area, I’ll gladly answer any questions you have if you are cruising this way. There’s room on our dock if you’re in the neighborhood. We’ve already had some RMHYC guests this far north.
E-mails from Yacht Club friends keep us in touch. It seems that many of you are getting together when geography and schedule permits. Keep an eye on the News section of the website that gets updated faithfully by Rita Wieczorek.
When planning your upcoming cruising schedule, check out the postings section of the website. You can click on the Marina section and plan to visit those Marinas that offer our members special consideration. Things change and its best to verify prices and availability directly.
It seems like yesterday when we were in Marsh Harbour enjoying the winter sun and water activities and the many social functions planned by our group. Check out our upcoming calendar as many wonderful events are planned for next winter.
During your travels or cruising this summer, let’s all look for folks with similar interests who might like to join our club and participate in our unique lifestyle. You, the active members of the RMHYC, are the best way to increase our membership.
