Ahoy all cruisers! Permission to come aboard is granted!
This is your opportunity to join the very large and still growing Royal Marsh Harbour Yacht Club. This wonderful group of people come from nearly every state in the US, the Bahamas, Canada and several other countries. Club members come from all walks of life and include boaters and non-boaters. This diverse group shares the goal of enhancing their boating experience and having lots of fun! You are welcome to join whether you are living the dream or still just dreaming.
As a member of the Royal Marsh Harbour Yacht Club you will quickly realize the benefits of membership. New members receive a membership card, a certificate, a package of useful information and our colourful Club Burgee. New member initiation is still an affordable US $150.00 Annual renewal rates are US $30.00 and are payable on or before January 1each year. Our web site RMHYC.com is your source of information about the club. Application forms for new members can be accessed there.
Club members enjoy fabulous parties while in the Abacos. Currently our events are held at the beautiful Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina in Marsh Harbour as well as other venues around the islands. Check the calendar at RMHYC.com.
There is also plenty of regularly scheduled and spontaneous activities. Walking groups, jogging groups, water aerobics and yoga are some of the activities enjoyed by our members for those so inclined. While in the Abacos many of our members support the community through donations and volunteer activities.
Communication is important to us all. The club maintains an e-mail address that will allow you to get important messages from family and friends while in the Abacos. There is also a morning meeting for members held via VHF on 3 mornings per week to keep everyone informed. The club develops and distributes by e-mail a semi annual newsletter to keep everyone up to date.
From May through October the fun moves. Our many RMHYC chapters in the US and Canada regularly plan activities. Contact the port captain in your area to see how you can participate. Port Captains can also help with local knowledge for transient boaters.
RMHYC membership entitles you to a variety of discounts to enhance your cruising experience. The discounts are outlined on the web site. Check back frequently as they change periodically. Remember: You must be a current member to take advantage of preferred member rates at the marinas in Abaco BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. Current and new members can send dues to Pat Knapp RMHYC, 300 Seville Drive, Rochester, NY 14617. Checks to be made payable to RMHYC and in US funds.
